From my understanding, Mr. Garber was separating his feeling about the high school / academy system with one side being personal (as a father) and the other as a professional (as commissioner).
As a father with a son in high school he would be supportive of the social attributes that it may offer. However, as the Commissioner of MLS there can be no mistake how important this decision is to the sport in North America.
